Megan and Steve’s Cape Cod luxury wedding at Wychmere Beach Club was what coastal wedding dreams are made of: effortless fashion, dramatic Atlantic views, and endless love.
From the start, Megan and Steve envisioned a day that felt elevated, relaxed, and filled with intentional design details. They hired Samantha and Tayler of Coastyle Weddings & Events to plan their wedding and together, they curated a wedding day unlike any other.
Let’s talk fashion for a second: Megan wore a curve-hugging Paloma Blanca gown from Vows Bridal that fit like a dream and moved like liquid silk. She paired it with chic accessories from Anthropologie, Dolce Vita shoes, and a fresh, glowy look thanks to her beauty team, Bombchelle Beauty and Beauty Boston.
Not to be overshadowed, Steve looked cool and coastal in a tan linen suit from Suit Shop. He wore a sage green tie that subtly tied their floral palette into their attire (pun slightly intended).
Due to the weather, and early guest arrivals, we photographed most of Megan and Steve’s pre-ceremony portraits inside the Dune Room bridal suite. But you know what? It worked out really nicely because the room had ample natural light and was spacious enough for their 20-person wedding party!
Then it was time for the ceremony. While the original plan was to exchange vows on the Dune Room’s outdoor deck, we quickly and smoothly activated their rain plan. And honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect. The indoor space, lined with whimsical aisle florals from American Stems that led to a modern sculptural arch at the front of the room, felt intimate, heartfelt, and totally romantic. Perfect to hear Megan and Steve’s immensely sweet vows – there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd!
While the Wychmere Beach Club Dune Room was being flipped, and while there was a break in the rain, we went outside and photographed the rest of Megan and Steve’s portraits. It was so cute just how into each other Megan and Steve were. They were naturally romantic and playful, constantly sneaking kisses and giggling through their portraits. I barely had to direct them—they just fell into each other’s arms like it was the most natural thing in the world. And yet…they said they’re awkward in front of the camera. This is proof of why I never believe it when couples say they’re awkward. They may feel awkward but it never looks that way when they’re fully present and living in the moment!
One of the most unforgettable parts of the day was the vintage Porsche Speedster Megan and Steve rented for portraits. Steve had looked forward to it all day, and it added a personal, cinematic touch to their couple photos.
As we took the couple’s newlywed portraits, guests enjoyed cocktails, a raw bar, and a spectacular double rainbow during cocktail hour.
After cocktail hour, guests re-entered the Dune Room. Now flipped, the room was transformed into a cozy yet elevated reception space. Tables were dressed in textured white linens with pink napkins, minimalist place cards, and taper candles. A banquet-style head table anchored the room while round tables allowed for easy mingling.
After their first dance and parent dances, guests settled in for a delicious plated meal surrounded by soft candlelight and sweet conversations. Toasts were made and champagne flutes clinked. And as soon as Megan and Steve cut their cake, the party vibe began! The band, The Standard from Wilson Stevens, launched into their set, and the dance floor filled within seconds. From then on, it was an all-out celebration. The energy was electric, shoes were kicked off, and there wasn’t a single guest who didn’t end up dancing at least once. It was joyful, chaotic, and perfect in every way!!
Megan and Steve’s Cape Cod luxury wedding at Wychmere Beach Club was the perfect blend of elegance, intimacy, and personal touches. From their heartfelt vows to the joyful dance floor and that chic little vintage Porsche Speedster, every detail reflected their genuine connection and shared excitement for this next chapter. Even with the moody weather, their day felt effortlessly romantic and true to them.
If you’re dreaming of your own coastal celebration with personality and heart, I’d be honored to help tell your story, too.
