There’s something so special about continuing the journey with my past wedding couples as they grow their families. Amy and Luke are no exception. I’ve been photographing Amy and Luke since 2022. That spring, we took their engagement photos at Villa Bellezza Winery. And later that summer, I got to photograph their beautiful wedding in Stillwater, Minnesota. Now, as a Lakeville MN newborn photographer, I had the joy of documenting their next chapter as parents to baby Myla.

For this session, we kept things cozy and intimate, photographing in their Lakeville, MN home. Their daughter, Myla, is just over a month old and is already showing off her strong personality (and impressive vocal range!). You can tell she’s going to be a little sweetheart, too. Her soft face as she grasped Luke’s finger was particularly heartwarming.

Amy wore a beautiful flowy pink maxi dress that added a soft, warm tone to their in-home session. Luke wore a crisp white collared shirt and khaki pants—classic and simple, letting their connection and love take center stage. Myla looked peaceful and snug in her little onesie, soaking up all the love from her parents.

As a Lakeville MN newborn photographer, these are the moments I cherish most: natural, love-filled sessions that reflect a family’s true connection. Amy and Luke are settling into their new role as parents with so much grace, and baby Myla is clearly already loved so much!
