Molly and Chase’s Snail Lake Regional Park wedding in Shoreview was certainly one for the books. Not only did I get to witness one of my best friends from college marry the love of her life, but I had the honor of documenting their special day, an honor I do not take lightly.
Molly met Chase on OKCupid a few years ago, not too long after she moved back to the Twin Cities from Dickinson, ND. I specifically remember when they first got together. Molly was house sitting and we were making dinner together when she said she was going to go on a date with a new guy in the next couple of days. She was very excited and I was excited for her.
Fast forward a few years and Chase messages me and asks, “What do you think Molly will like better?” There were three photos attached. I nearly leapt out of my seat before looking at the photos as I screamed, “oh my god! Chase is going to propose to Molly!” I gave my opinion (he went with it…ndb haha) and about a week or two later, when they were on a trip back to ND to visit family, Chase popped the question.
Chase and Molly are some of my favorite people individually and are one of my favorite couples. My boyfriend and I love hanging out with them. They are funny, quirky, loyal, and ridiculously talented in all of their chosen mediums (Molly is a dancer and singer, Chase is a musician and singer). And their wedding day highlighted all of those things.
Their ceremony started and ended with their sisters singing songs, their first dance closed the ceremony, and Molly did a super secret surprise flamenco dance for Chase and their guests. It was absolutely perfect! They joked together all day, laughed and danced with everyone, and continued partying into the night with a bar crawl in Downtown St. Paul. Just like their engagement session, everything about their wedding was perfect and 100% them.
My special wish for Molly and Chase is to have a life full of laughter and music and to bring children into this world that are true their hearts, just as their parents are. May you be blessed with all of the things my friends!
