Annie and Phil’s family farm wedding in Chisago City, MN was, in one word, magical. Weather reports did not look favorable – strong thunderstorms were likely and it was raining on the drive up – but as soon as we arrived to Annie’s sister’s house, the sky opened up and the sun started to shine.

Annie and Phil met at darts, but not just any darts. Blind darts. Let me explain a little bit. Phil is legally blind. And while Annie has full vision, she became interested in activities that were accessible to differently-abled persons because her father was also blind.

I didn’t know there were dart leagues, let alone blind dart leagues, so I was very curious how it worked. I won’t explain it here, but if you’re curious as well, feel free to visit the Twin Cities Blind Audio Dart League’s website here.

So, as I said, Annie and Phil met at darts and after a while of dating, Phil popped the question at Annie’s family farm…yes, the very farm where their wedding was held. How freaking magical and sweet is that?!

Annie was all smiles and jokes on her wedding day (love a bride and her bride tribe that appreciates a good “that’s what she said” joke or two…or ten lol). Phil was smiley too as he ran (literally) from the house to the farm and back to make sure everything was perfect for the festivities to begin.

I wish Annie and Phil a lifetime of love and happiness. They’re a perfect pair and I know they’ll keep making each other smiling forever and ever.
