I bet you $1000 that Sierra and Beau did not anticipate snow on their October wedding when they started their wedding planning.
Sure, it’s not totally uncommon to have snow in October in good ol’ Minnesota. But when it does, it’s usually in late October…not in the middle of the freaking month!
Despite the wind, light snow, and chillier than expected temps, Sierra and Beau’s Lost Spur Country Club wedding in Eagan, MN was amazing.
A week before the wedding, both Sierra and I had our peepers glued to the weather forecast and came up with a few ideas to embrace the cold. Sierra found a fantastic (and might I say, badass) leather jacket to wear during her and Beau’s portraits outside. And her bridesmaids had cute scarves to drape over their shoulders, too. The guys? Well…guys are lucky that they get to wear jackets normally and therefore don’t have to think too much about being cold. But they still handled the weather like champs!
So what do you do when there’s unexpected, and subpar weather on your biggest of days? You roll with the punches and remember that in the end, the only thing that matters is your love! And boy howdy, are Sierra and Beau loved!!
