Colleen and Andrew’s Leap Day wedding at The Semple Mansion in Minneapolis, MN was one I’ll never forget in a million years. Not just because it was on Leap Day and we only get that opportunity once every four years, but also because Colleen, Andrew, and their entire crew were so thoroughly invested – mind, body, heart, and soul – in celebrating their love that it would have changed the heart of any jaded cynic (if there had been any around that is).

The couple met on Match.com and had their first official date at the Mall of America. That location may seem a bit odd to you but as you will have read on their engagement session blog, the mall was a convenient mid-point between where they both lived. The mall became an important location in Colleen and Andrew’s love story. So much so that that’s where Andrew proposed.

On the day of their wedding, Colleen and her girls were full of giddy laughter and Andrew and his guys wore huge smiles and cracked jokes. Maybe it was because the big day was finally here (that would put a smile on any wedding party member’s face) but I have a suspicion that it was also due to the fact that the weather was uncommonly Spring-like for late February in Minnesota. It was bright, sunny, and in the 40s!!

The entire day unfolded perfectly. From their getting ready part of the day, to the ceremony, and through their reception, everyone was so kind, thoughtful, and full of love, hope, and excitement for Colleen and Andrew.
I’m so grateful to have been able to capture their love story and can’t wait to see how it continues to grow!!
