Alyssa and Collin’s wedding at The Millennium Hotel in downtown Minneapolis was truly a winter wonderland fairytale. I mean seriously — the twinkle lights, the beautiful and happy couple, the first snow of the season — a textbook winter wonderland fairytale.

Alyssa and Collin’s love story is absolutely one of those “meant to be” stories. Let me paint the picture. Megan, Alyssa’s best friend since childhood, is married to Jack. Jack is Collin’s brother. Megan and Jack play matchmaker and give birth to the wonderful #activecouple that is Alyssa and Collin. Oh, and to add an extra level of “meant to be” to the mix, Jack is Megan’s brother’s best friend. Talk about the stars aligning!

After a few months of dating, Collin popped the question. A year and a half after that, the two tied the knot.

I’ve been friends with Alyssa since 2012 and since she and Collin started dating, they have coined their own hashtag: #activecouple. You might think that’s goofy…and you’re right and I love it! These two go on hikes together, go camping in the boundary waters together, and genuinely love to be outdoors (even if it means doing yard work). On their wedding day, both Alyssa and Collin were beaming with joy. I even got a little emotional with all of the lovey-dovey feelings in the air. Their day was filled with more smiles and laughter than their engagement session!

Alyssa and Collin, you two have been through so much together and I’ve had the privilege of watching your love grow through it all. Thank you a million times for sharing your big day with me! I wish you a lifetime of happiness, joy, and most of all love.
