Kristi and Mike’s Mendakota Country Club wedding was perfection with a capital P! All of the giggles, high-fives, hugs, and the STUNNING decor made the day feel like a dream.

The couple met on eHarmony. They both valued their families, work, and faith so they decided to give it a chance and meet in person. It wasn’t long before they realized how great they were together. They went to church, hung out with their respective friend groups, and when Mike saw how Kristi was with his nieces and nephews…well…let’s just say he was in love. And when Mike was sick, Kristi made him homemade chicken noodle soup – the sign she was in love with him, too.

Mike and Kristi are the epitome of classic romance. They have this energy about them that I find hard to describe with words. It’s calm but invigorating. It’s passionate and when you’re with them you can actually feel their love for each other. An example of just how classically romantic they are comes by way of their proposal story. Mike took Kristi to the lake at sunset, he built a bonfire, the lake looked like glass…and he asked. It was perfect!

We could not have asked for a better day for Mike and Kristi’s wedding! The weather was perfect with no rain, a few fluffy clouds, and comfortable temps. When we arrived to take photos of Kristi getting ready, the ladies were all smiles. I heard a lot of exclamations of, “Oh my god you’re getting married!” And when we went to the venue to set up for their First Look, Mike, as handsome as ever, was beaming saying he was super excited (and nervous) to see Kristi. Cute, right?! After couple, wedding party, and family photos, it was time for the ceremony. It was sweet, simple, with touches of personal flare. And before we knew it, they were husband and wife!

I can’t tell you how happy I am for Kristi and Mike. They are an amazing team and I’m so honored and blessed to have been able to photograph their wedding. I feel like I say this for all of my couples but I mean it every single time: I wish you all of life’s blessings! May your dreams come true and may you find love, joy, and purpose in every day together. Congrats on a beautiful wedding and additional congrats on the purchase of your new home!
