Words almost can’t do Betsy and Colin’s wedding at the Historic Concord Exchange in St. Paul, MN justice. “Excellent” seems too basic, “Enjoyable” seems too blasé, and “Meant to be” seems too cheese. And yet, they’re all true in the most fantastic way!
Betsy and Colin were high school sweethearts. They even went to prom together. So to say their love story is epic is kind of an understatement. As Colin’s mom said in her toast, these two are something special and that look in Colin’s eye even back in high school told her this pair was going places.
Their energy, interactions, and undiluted love are what all photographers dream of photographing. They make each other laugh without any prompting, they freely kiss and snuggle each other, and they are just so stinking cute! Like all of the time!
The most meaningful moment of the day for me was a pretty quiet one. Betsy had just read a letter written by Colin. Tears were flowing, her smile was huge, and sigh was deep. She knew how big the day was. After she finished reading, we shared a big hug. That may not seem like an important moment, but for me…having my brides be that vulnerable with me and allowing me to be a source of support and comfort is a true gift. One I treasure beyond all others.
Betsy and Colin, my wish for you is to keep making each other laugh…daily. Keep being each other’s support. And keep snuggling in public! Love you both so freaking much!!
