Unless there’s an area with special significance to you, choosing a location for your portrait session can be daunting. So daunting that you might tell your photographer to choose one for you. But it doesn’t have to be.
Yall, I’m so freaking excited to finally be able to offer portrait session gift cards! I’ve wanted to offer e-gift cards for a while but I hadn’t come across software that made the process easy on both the client and seller. That is, until now!
How cute and Karlie and Ben?! Remember that weekend in early March when it got up to the 60s in Minneapolis, MN? Karlie, Ben, and I took advantage of the warm weather and met up for a quick mini engagement session to celebrate their upcoming Lutsen, MN wedding.
Taylor and I met at the January Minnesota Wedding Guide’s Wedding Fair in Downtown Minneapolis, MN earlier this year. She had such a cool energy and we hit it off right away. So when she said she and her fiancé wanted to do a mini engagement session with me I was psyched!
Missy and I met last fall at the Minnesota Wedding Fair in Minneapolis, MN and we instantly hit it off! We were talking about her and Alex’s engagement session and where they might want to take there photos and Missy said they loved being outdoors so anywhere with lots of trees would be very meaningful […]

Melissa and Jared […]
Have you been to Madeline Island? Before Katie and Matt’s adventure engagement session I would have said, “No but I really really want to.”
And let me tell ya…this will NOT be the last time I make it to that beautiful island!
“Skipping!” We made Maia’s dreams come true when I asked her and her fiancé, Zac, to skip around Shady Oak Park.
Those reactions make my heart smile. While I love posing my couples in cuddly position, it’s the movement and authentic expressions that come from my fun (and oftentimes goofy) prompts that give our Lauren Baker Photography engagement photos their unique, visceral quality.
When my couples request a specific place to take their engagement photos I immediately say “HECK YEAH!” and then ask about the significance of that location. For Jenny and Fuchie, Parkers Lake Park in Plymouth, MN was the spot where they had their first official date. So naturally, I bawled my eyes out and then agreed to meet them there on an early morning in the beginning of May.
