I first met Allison and Jeff and Emily and Andy‘s wedding in 2017. Allison was a bridesmaid in their wedding and at one point during the day, she told me they (the other wedding party plus Jeff) were going to “ice” the bride and groom so I should “get ready.”
I loved working with them and the entire crew from Emily and Andy’s wedding. So naturally, I jumped up and down when Allison reached out to me asking if I’d be available for her and Jeff’s wedding!
Even though I hadn’t seen them in a few years (and hadn’t talk to them aside from periodic Instagram post comments), as soon as we got on our zoom call it felt like we were old friends! The three of us cracking jokes and laughing our buts off.
So naturally, I was excited to hang out with Allison and Jeff in person and couldn’t wait for their engagement session.
The two chose to take their engagement photos at the Como Lakeside Pavilion. They live nearby and often take walks around the lake. While the pavilion itself was closed due to the pandemic and the area was full of people enjoying the unseasonably warm spring day, it was still great to be in a location that was filled with so much personal significance to Allison and Jeff.
After a quick outfit change, went to the Como Conservatory to take the rest of their photos with a bit more privacy.
I absolutely love these two and can’t wait to celebrate them at their wedding later this October!!
