I’m thrilled to share Annie and Mikey’s enchanting tented Wisconsin wedding with you! The wedding was held at their family’s private estate in Fountain City, WI, which is a short drive north from La Crosse, WI. Overlooking the mighty Mississippi River, their wedding was nothing short of heartwarming, intimate, and downright picturesque—a celebration that is no doubt forever etched in their hearts.
Annie and Mikey wanted their wedding theme to have a nod toward the rustic Wisconsin woods but also wanted their wedding to feel high-end. Thus, the invitation suite, created by BP Creationery, helped to set that tone.
As soon as I arrived, Annie and her bridesmaids welcomed my team and me with champagne flutes in hand. Everyone was in such a great mood and they were excited for the festivities to begin. And begin they did! We popped and sprayed champagne bottles, listened to music, and before too long, we got Annie into her dress.
Annie is, was, and forever will be, the epitome of grace! She donned a stunning Enzoani bridal gown adorned with delicate lace. To add a bit of pizzazz, she wore long diamond earrings and sparkly Kailee P heels. Mikey, who was getting ready with his groomsmen on the lower level of the house, looked equally sharp in a custom Indochino suit. Wanting to add a custom touch to his attire, he had his and Annie’s wedding date subtly embroidered inside his suit jacket.
I don’t think I was emotionally prepared for Annie and Mikey’s day – by which I mean, it was an even more heartfelt and joyously tearful affair. It began with their first look and continued for the rest of the day. Both Mikey, Annie, and I were glad that I had a lot of tissues on hand.
After we completed their couple, wedding party, and family portraits, we prepared for their ceremony. I was so impressed with the ceremony decor. Not just because it was beautiful and totally on theme, but because Annie made the floral ceremony arch herself! That lady has mad DIY skills!
When I first met Annie and Mikey, they told me how important their families were to them. Therefore, it came as no surprise that Mikey’s aunt officiated the ceremony and Annie’s beloved grandfather walked her down the aisle. As the ceremony progressed, and I looked up and down the rows of guests, there wasn’t a single dry eye to be seen.
I will always be in love with a tented wedding reception, especially when it’s adorned with crystal chandeliers, twinkling lights, and abundant greenery. The mix of elevated rustic decor and the exquisite florals made it feel like you were walking into an enchanted fairytale.
As the day melted into the night, the reception unfolded like a dream. The kids played on the lawn and threw stones in the river. There was a beautiful sunset, perfect for Annie and Mikey’s sunset portraits. And the speeches…oh the speeches. I was especially moved by Mikey’s dad’s speech, who was, after all, his best man.
The dancing was off the hook, the drinks flowed, and then it was time for fireworks. One of the fun perks of having a tented wedding on private property in Wisconsin is that you can end the night with a dazzling fireworks display. And dazzling it was! It left Annie, Mikey, my team, and their guests in awe.
Every moment of Annie and Mikey’s tented Wisconsin wedding echoed the warmth and love that define this extraordinary couple. Cheers to Annie and Mikey, may your journey ahead be as joyous and captivating as your special day!
