In the heart of Ireland, amidst the enchanting beauty of Castle Leslie, a fairytale came to life. This styled Ireland castle wedding editorial, captured against the backdrop of the majestic castle, exuded romance, timelessness, and a touch of whimsy. As the sun (and dew) kissed the rolling hills of the Irish countryside, AMV Weddings wove a tapestry of magic and elegance that will be forever etched in my heart.

I’m an Irish girlie to my core – ok, I’m 60% but who’s counting? And if I were 15 years younger, I would live there in a heartbeat! So when Amanda from AMV Weddings announced she was hosting a retreat in Ireland I knew I had to attend.

What made this particular retreat, and this specific shoot, extra meaningful for me was the fact that my friend Mara of Mara Marie Bridal contributed a dress to it. We go way back to our beginning wedding vendor days. She’s now based in London and has her own bespoke bridal boutique! To get to see and celebrate her business’ growth was incredibly special. We both have worked so hard to get to where we are today and I’m extremely proud of her!

Every aspect of the editorial was carefully curated to embrace the romantic and elegant aesthetic synonymous with an Ireland castle wedding. From the exquisite invitation suite to the lush florals that adorned the castle grounds, each detail captured the essence of a high-end Irish love story.

The ceremony scene was a seamless blend of tradition and Irish countryside charm. Moody florals, provided by Frog Prince Weddings, adorned the aisle and castle arch.

Sara was an ethereal beauty in her Mara Marie Bridal ceremony dress, adorned with intricate lace and delicate details. Thomas, her dashing partner, epitomized sophistication in his tailored tux, perfectly complementing Sara’s timeless elegance.

Since Castle Leslie is known for its equestrian activities, we were treated to a special unexpected guest – Bumble, a charming and handsome horse who was draped in a classic green wreath. Despite Bumble’s apprehension towards Sara’s veil – and my apprehension towards him – Bumble added a whimsical and uniquely Irish element to the day.

As the day progressed, we moved on to the reception portion of the shoot. Amanda and her team set up the reception scene in the back of Castle Leslie, and chose to place the family-style table under the castle’s stunning arches.

The reception scene was a sensory delight, with details that spoke to the season. I especially loved the raspberry and blackberry design elements that adorned the tablescape and cake. They added a lovely pop of color and whimsy to the design.

Sara’s reception dress, a creation by the talented Tel Aviv designer Alon Livne, brought a contemporary flair to the scene, reflecting a modern yet timeless style.
