Unless there’s an area with special significance to you, choosing a location for your portrait session can be daunting. So daunting that you might tell your photographer to choose one for you. But it doesn’t have to be.
Everyone loves the first 60 degree day after winter. Lauryn, Jacen, and I are no exception and we were overjoyed that it occurred on the same day as their engagement session!
Taylor and I met at the January Minnesota Wedding Guide’s Wedding Fair in Downtown Minneapolis, MN earlier this year. She had such a cool energy and we hit it off right away. So when she said she and her fiancé wanted to do a mini engagement session with me I was psyched!
Talk about kindred souls. Lisa and James are truly, and wholeheartedly, made for each other. I know I’m a sap for love stories and my life’s mission is to make people happy but I was absurdly stoked when Lisa said she wanted my team to be her and James’ wedding and engagement photographer. When my couples request a specific place to take their engagement photos I immediately say “HECK YEAH!” and then ask about the significance of that location. For Jenny and Fuchie, Parkers Lake Park in Plymouth, MN was the spot where they had their first official date. So naturally, I bawled my eyes out and then agreed to meet them there on an early morning in the beginning of May.
Giggles and love reign supreme with Kristine and Steve. I honestly can’t tell you how many times we all busted into giggles but what I can tell you is that my abs were sore the next day from laughing so hard.
Whoever thinks malls aren’t romantic don’t know what the hell they’re talking about! Case and point, Colleen and Andrew’s love story which began at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. Not only did they meet there, they also had many dates at the mall. It was also where Andrew proposed!
