Earlier this spring, Gina, Michael, and their two pups drove from Philadelphia, PA to Boston, MA to take some seriously enchanting engagement photos at the Boston Public Garden with me.
Gina, originally from Newport, RI, knew she wanted to take her and Michael’s engagement photos here in Boston. And while they were familiar with the city, they weren’t totally sure where a good spot to take them would be since they were bringing their pups Coco and Remus with them. I suggested we could take their engagement photos at the Boston Public Garden and they loved the idea. It’s an iconic Bostonian location and it would provide amble smells and potty spots for their dogs.
We met up on a relatively warm spring evening. Gina and Michael were overflowing with excitement and anticipation when they arrived. And Coco and Remus were excited about all of the treats that they knew were coming. We snapped a few family photos of the four of them to ease into their engagement session before we focused on just Gina and Michael.
The Boston Public Garden is one of my favorite engagement session locations because it offers a plethora of picture-perfect locations. And depending on the time of day, the garden can look totally different from day to day so no two session ever looks the same. On this day, Gina and Michael wandered hand in hand, pausing every now and then to sneak a quick kiss from each other, while they took in the tranquil scenery.
As their session drew to a close, Gina and Michael’s spirits beamed. We seized the opportunity to chase the golden hour light, which created a dreamy, ethereal glow for them. And of course, we had to sneak Coco and Remus into a few more shots.
Gina and Michael’s engagement session at the Boston Public Garden encapsulated the essence and power of their love. They’re such a sweet and caring couple and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI later this fall!
