This November I attended my first ever photography conference. I’ve attended workshops, retreats, and put together my own styled shoots but I’d never been to a conference before. Truth be told, I didn’t know there were such things for the photography industry. Those were things that business executives and people with “real jobs” attended…not something […]
You said yes to the dress, you found the perfect shoes, and now you’re on the quest to find those oh so special bridal accessories. We’re talking earrings, necklaces, and bracelets – all of the items that will complete your wedding day look.
But you don’t want just any jewelry. You don’t want jewelry that a hundred other brides will wear on their weddings, right? You want bling that’s just as unique and one-of-a-kind as your ring and your dress. In other words, you want custom designed pieces, hand-crafted by individuals who care about you.
You’re in luck! Why? Because I’m sharing my personal favorite accessory vendors with you!
Ever since FIVE Event Center in Uptown Minneapolis, MN opened it’s doors I’ve been dreaming about photographing a wedding there. Kory and Andrew made that dream a reality with their gorgeous wedding.
And when I say gorgeous, I mean GORG.E.OUS! If there was an award for the best dressed wedding party and family, it would, without a doubt, go to Kory and Andrew’ and their peeps.
Ojiketa Regional Park, located outside of Forest Lake in Chisago City, MN, has a cute little camp perfect for outdoorsy, canoe loving people. It also is the home of Strom Hall, the venue for Jess and Hannah’s summer wedding.
And when I say camp, I’m not talking about the sleeping in tents type of camping you’d normally associate with regional park camping. Rather, there were clean cabins some with had actual showers!
Hey friends! I’m looking for fun-loving, dependable, love-obsessed to join my team as second shooters and associate photographer(s) for the 2020 wedding season!
We’ve made it to part 2 of our feature on bridal skincare. Hooray! If you haven’t read part 1 you should probably go do that…like…right now. And if you’re ready for part 2, well my friend, please continue on.
Food food glorious food!
Food is a part of our everyday routine. What we feed ourselves shows on our face.
Many have asked me what makes a wedding great? I don’t think there’s any one answer and tastes, as in all things, are incredibly subjective.
However, with all of the weddings I’ve worked and attended as a guest, I have found a surprising amount of similarities between the weddings that I’d deem “great.”
Dana and John’s Edinburgh USA Golf Course wedding in Brooklyn Park totally felt like it could have been in a castle in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The charming pair met on Tinder in 2015 shortly after John moved to Minneapolis from Madison. After a postponed first date thanks to the flu, the two finally met in person. They went to Ginger Hop in Northeast Minneapolis and the rest, as they say, is history.
I have a lot of fun at weddings. I love my work, I love dancing, and I love having a good time. Kaylin and Connor’s Bunker Hills Golf Course wedding in Coon Rapids is easily in the top 5 “most rockin’” of all of the weddings I’ve photographed.
Aliya and Taylor’s Minnesota Boat Club wedding will surely be one that I will remember for a very, very long time. Everything about the day was memorable but my two top highlights from the day (aside from the amazing weather) have to be:
1) The beautiful, heartfelt vows the brides wrote…I seriously almost cried…
2) When Aliya’s veil blew off and almost fell into the Mississippi River!! Luckily, it stuck on the stucco of the bridge and my second shooter was able to grab it when the wind came up again. Talk about DRAMATIC!
