The Covid-19 pandemic put so many couples through the wringer. Jessica and Ryan postponed their wedding reception with the hopes of having it in the winter. They still wanted to get married on their original date, so last June, they had a very cute micro wedding in Jessica’s mom’s backyard. It, like them, was super sweet.
I’m extremely jealous of Associate Brittany who got to photograph Alex and Brad’s Weddings at the Broz wedding! I mean, seriously?! How gorgeous, cute, and posh are these two?! And their wedding party? On fire – hotties all of them!
I love when I’m able to bring one of my team members along to a wedding day as a second photographer. Most of my wedding collections include one because second photographers help me serve my clients better. While not all of my collections include a second photographer (though they can always be added), and not every wedding needs one, I do think every wedding benefits from have two photographers on site.
The first time I visited Big Rock Creek – in St. Croix Falls, WI – it was the middle of winter. The grounds were so beautiful covered in powdery snow that I completely fell in love with it. I didn’t think it could ever be more lovely than it was then. But you guys, I was dead wrong!
I’ve got to hand it to Kathryn and Jeremy. I think they win the award for “The couple who kept their cool with the most stressful situation” award. You see, leading up to their wedding day, they weren’t sure that Jeremy’s parents would be able to attend – they live in India and it wasn’t clear if they’d be able to fly or not! Talk about STRESS!
Alisa and Adam’s wedding vision, like so many in 2020, had many different iterations. They were originally supposed to have a grade wedding at Harriet Island Pavilion in St. Paul, MN. However, when it became clear that option wasn’t going to be a possibility due to COVID-19 restrictions…
Adrienne and Ryan are truly a remarkable couple! Not just because they were high school sweethearts, but also because they persevered planning a wedding in 2020 during a global pandemic!
If you know anything about me, you know I’m from Minnesota but I love Europe. Ok, Ireland most especially, but old world European style has my heart and I not-so-secretly wish I could travel there all of the time.
You’ll see a trend this year of couples making hard decisions and either postponing their wedding day or reducing their guest list. For Jenny and Fuchie, they decided to do both.
There was a chunk of time in our wedding planning when we thought we'd go without a professional photographer to save on cost (terrible idea!) but once we met with Lauren, we knew we'd be in good hands. She checked in often and asked questions that got us thinking about other parts of the wedding that we probably would've missed. Lauren captured exactly who we are as a couple!
Lauren and her team are so much fun to work with! She made us feel so comfortable on the day of our wedding, providing both silly and helpful cues to help us relax and be ourselves in our photos. Lauren’s background in dance is super helpful in recognizing simple posture changes that make a big difference, too. Oh, and the photos we got are just stunning!
My husband and I looked FOR MONTHS to find the perfect photographer and after meeting Lauren we knew was the best fit for us. She made our day so much fun and easy. She found little opportunities to make the perfect photo all with a calm ease that comes from someone who has an artistic eye along with experience in understanding the flow of a wedding.
I've been in several weddings and have worked with a multitude of photographers and I never felt as confident as I did with Lauren. I love how professional she is. She helped with the timeline way in advance and we stuck to that timeline the day of. She was also able to professionally and firmly keep unruly family members settled and focused and navigated family drama beautifully!
